Last year, just after I resigned from Sutherland, I went for a trip. As usual it was totally unplanned. Decided to go with Tom, Hanish and Robin at 2 in the night, and we started from Cochin at 6 in the morning. We went to Nelliampathy, a hill station in Palakkad. Mind you this was in November, pretty cold up there. As soon as we started climbing the hill it started raining. We reached there in the evening. It was raining still, and it was very cold. Next day we went trekking up the hill, still raining. We went for an adventure drive in a 4x4 jeep, still raining. It did have its beauty, but still, it was raining. It would've felt better if I was with my girlfriend [;)], but unfortunately here I'm stuck at the top a hill with 3 guys and, it's still raining. What to do? Due to the rain we decided to climb down earlier. As our last stop, we went to a spot called Keshavanpara. It was actually on our way back. Man, that place was awesome. First time in 2 days, it stopped raining. It was raining all the time, from the time we reached there to this moment. We sat on the rocks, none of us said a word. We just listened to the sound of nature. The sound of wind rustling the trees, the sound of lion tailed monkeys howling in the distance. A cloud rose in front of us. It came climbing up the side of the mountain we were looking at. It just kept rising and rising up into the skies. That one moment was the most awesome moment in the whole trip. And Robin took a picture. The battery went dead after he took this snap. So there you are….
"Sitting on the rocks, enjoying the sounds of the nature. Time stands still!!!" - Keshavanpara, Nelliampathy, Palakkad
- Life should be a constant lookout, through the gray mists, through the falling shadows,
through the running tears, till he comes to the shining top of life in God Himself,
where the fogs lift, and the shadows fall, and the view is all undisturbed -
